  • Teddy's America

In 1902, during a hunting trip in Onward, Mississippi, President Theodore Roosevelt refused to shoot a trapped black bear. He felt that the shot would be unsportsmanlike and against his hunting ethical code. A few days later, after hearing about the story, a political cartoonist had satirized this moment in a Washington Post cartoon. The story reached a Brooklyn, N.Y. candy storeowner, Morris Michtom, who decided to create a stuffed bear that was dedicated to the President. He called it the "Teddy Bear."

Teddy's America celebrates the spirit of red, white and blue. Teddies in classic positions as well as great moments celebrating the spirit of America. This iconic teddy bear inspired Robert Giordano to create his newest collection. The collection offers a teddy bear panel, a tossed allover teddy, a plaid, a small tossed teddy print, a continuous yardage block print, a tossed allover flags print, a distressed texture stripe print, a packed teddy print, a wind spinner print and a confetti allover. All these prints can be used to make a fast quilt, table decor, a wall hanging, pillows or a tote bag. This collection is coordinated in a red, white, blue and tan color palette.

  • Yellowstone

Yellowstone by Jan Shade Beach is a line that Jan created from her time spent last fall at Yellowstone National Park. She took over 3,000 pictures and from those pictures she created the Yellowstone Collection. We hope that you feel like you took a trip there yourself when you are cutting and sewing these prints. There is a 24 inch panel showing a tranquil scene on the river with animals roaming, a tour bus taking in the sights and kayakers floating down the river. There is also a 24 inch repeat of approx. 8.5 inch blocks, featuring cabins, a lone eagle, a fox, a bear and other scenes from life in Yellowstone. Other coordinates include textures, soaring eagles, a pack of wolves, a map of the area, a rock texture and a buffalo allover. The monotone paw prints and textures give the line some quiet to showcase the focus prints.
