Lisa Schiller has been sewing most of her life. Her introduction to quilting began with a contest and a desire for a pair of Gingher scissors. Lisa was living in Tulsa Oklahoma. A local quilt store was having a block contest. One of the prizes was a pair of Gingher scissors. She entered a block in the contest and won second prize and the coveted scissors. She kept quilting and joined a quilt guild, where she got her introduction to freezer paper applique. And she has been appliquing ever since. Lisa designs applique patterns for fun. Her work and patterns have published in magazines including: Quiltmania, Simply Vintage, Simply Moderne, American Patchwork and Quilting, McCalls Quilting and others. She also authored books for Indygo Junction. Her love of applique has allowed her to travel extensively to teach and stitch with enthusiastic quilters.   She has worked with several fabric companies and is excited about her first fabric collection “Ashby” with Henry Glass & Co., Inc. Lisa lives in Canton, Ohio with her husband, Glenn and Sophie, her dog. Lisa and Glenn have two grown daughters.
