Gail Pan is an Australian designer who lives just outside Melbourne. She has been designing embroidery and quilting patterns since 2003, but has been sewing most of her life. Her mom was a dressmaker so there were always plenty of scraps to sew with. Her first sewing machine was a small children’s Singer machine, with which she made dolls clothes for her Barbie!

While Gail mostly designs with a strong embroidery presence, she also loves needleturn appliqué and often will design with both.

Gail has self published six books as well as another five with Martingale/That Patchwork Place. She also has over 500 individual patterns.

Gail started designing fabric in 2014 and has been designing with Henry Glass since 2017.

Gail loves travelling and always has sewing with her while she’s away!
